  13. My ISP (who has about 20 tech support reps who know very little) tells everyone they should
  14. use the following trumpet settings:

  16. MTU 576
  17. RWIN 2048
  18. TCPMSS 512
  19.  
  20. None of the support reps there knew why the tcpmss is not 40 less than the MTU,
  21. in their recommended setup.  But everything i've read elsewhere says it should
  22. be 40 less (I assume it meant exactly 40 less).
  23. Anyone have any idea if those setting are valid?
